About Us
Ms. Flowers Interpreters & Translators is a family-owned business rooted in the desert of Eastern Washington. Flor Garza Gutierrez, also known as Ms. Flower, began her career as a Spanish interpreter, traveling throughout Oregon and Washington for more than 20 years. Through her experience, she recognized the growing need for interpreters in a region that was becoming more diverse each year. She began planning for the day she would own and manage a business to meet this increasing demand.
Established in 2007, Ms. Flower began with just 10 private companies. Today, she works with more than 115 companies, offering services in 56 languages. The company has also secured contracts with Washington State’s Department of Social and Health Services, allowing the agency to grow even further.
In July 2017, Ms. Flower purchased Language, Passport & Travel Solutions from local owners. The already thriving company was elevated to the next level thanks to her extensive industry experience. Between the two agencies, Ms. Flower now has approximately 300 interpreters serving most of Washington and Eastern Oregon, with expansion underway nationwide. To give back to the community, Ms. Flowers Interpreters & Translators also provides volunteer services, including trips to Costa Rica where she and fellow interpreters assist children with special needs.
With an impressive three decades of experience in the interpreting industry, Ms. Flower has brought on Chelsi and Michael Traeger, further solidifying the company as a true family-owned business. She built her company on the belief that her clients’ needs are of the utmost importance—a commitment shared by the entire team of interpreters, both in and out of the office. As a result, a large percentage of the business comes from repeat clients, patients, and referrals.
